Awards Night 2011

Each year the Region 2000 Technology Council hosts a premier networking event and awards banquet recognizing the best and brightest in the Lynchburg region’s technology community. In celebration of our 10th annual Awards Night we will feature globally renowned entrepreneur Cameron Johnson who will speak on ‘Entrepreneurial Values and Thinking Differently’. You won’t want to miss this!

At only 25, Cameron Johnson is recognized as one of the most successful young entrepreneurs in the world. Earning $15,000 a day by the age of 15, by the time he left high school he had a dozen profitable businesses under his belt. Overseas, he was the youngest American appointed to the board of a Tokyo-based company, and even hosted Beat the Boss, a popular entrepreneurial show on the BBC. Passionate and whip-smart about business, Johnson consults with Fortune 500 companies, garners extensive media coverage from CNN, The New York Times, CNBC and hundreds of other outlets, and was a runner up on Oprah’s first prime time series, The Big Give, about philanthropy and business. He recently has been named one of the Ten Outstanding Americans as selected by the US Junior Chamber; previous honorees include presidents Bill Clinton and John F. Kennedy.
