A New Regional Conference

Many of you have been a part of our regional technology Awards Night and gala that we have hosted for the past 10 years. This year we are integrating our regional technology awards into an innovative new conference called ‘TechEDGE: 2012‘. This year’s theme will be “Shaping the Future of Virginia’s Region 2000” where we will explore how technology will continue to play a formative role in local business and education. It will take place May 15 in downtown Lynchburg at the Holiday Inn from 1-8pm and will be the most important event that we host all year.

New Formats For Learning, Celebrating, Networking

As always, it will be a time of gathering for the entire regional community but it will also offer new formats for learning, celebrating, and networking. There will be four sessions with more than 12 regional and statewide business, education and technology leaders speaking on four major topics of interest.

Following the sessions will be an extended time of networking where you can connect with other movers and shakers in the region. It will be our largest networking event of the year!

A Meeting of the Minds

Each panel session will include up to 4 speakers that will present for no longer than 10 minutes and will receive suggestions for their presentation that keeps in mind the conference theme. There will be time for a couple of questions from the audience at the end of each session. The session moderator will get to choose the questions.

Member and STEM Exhibits

We also will be extending the invitation for corporate displays and exhibits that will be open during the reception time. We anticipate exhibitors from within our membership as well as STEM-related student teams from areas schools. If you are interested in being an exhibitor during the networking reception please contact us: here.
