Does your company hire college students for paid internships for the spring, summer, or fall? If so, the Virginia Commonwealth STEM Industry Internship Program (CSIIP), a partner with the Region 2000 Technology Council, can help.
The CSIIP is funded by the Commonwealth of Virginia, is managed by the Virginia Space Grant Consortium (VSGC), has strong support from the Virginia Governor’s Office, and is a free-to-use, on-line program that matches Virginia students looking for an internship position to companies in Virginia that offer internship opportunities. The CSIIP is also partnered with all ten technology councils in Virginia, the Virginia Manufacturers Association, sySTEMic Solutions, and VA SHRM.
Please visit the CSIIP website at CSIIP.org to learn more and to gain free access to hundreds of qualified student intern applicants from accredited colleges across Virginia.
VSGC staff are also available to provide free assistance in finding the interns of your choice. Since CSIIP is in collaboration with all accredited colleges and universities in Virginia, they can poll their school contacts in your area to find students that meet all your intern requirements. Of course, once provided the student contacts, it would be up to your discretion as to whether you want to conduct interviews and/or subsequently hire any of the students.
